Dr. Randal M. Cox

Dr. Randal M. Cox

  • Therapeutic Optometrist
  • Optometric Glaucoma Specialist

Dr. Cox founded what is now known as Family Eye Care Clinic in 1980.

Since that time, he's become known to the medical community and his patients for his expertise, as well as his warm and gentle manner.

Dr. Cox received his Undergraduate Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Houston. Following this, he graduated with honors from the University of Houston College of Optometry, where he was elected to the Beta Sigma Kappa honor fraternity.

Dr. Cox is a member of numerous regional and national professional associations, including the East Texas Optometric Society, the Texas Optometric Association, and the American Optometric Association, the American Optometric Foundation, and the International Contact Lens Society.

He maintains an active profile in the community and in his church as well. He has served as a member of the Atlanta Lions Club, past director of Atlanta Area Chamber of Commerce and volunteer for the United Way. He has been a member of Atlanta Baseball Association and coached little league baseball for fourteen years. He enjoys hunting, fishing, reading and playing golf.

Dr. Cox makes his home in Atlanta with his wife Rita.

Dr. Terry D. Foster

Dr. Foster joined Family Eye Care Clinic in 1994. He continues to provide specialized Vision and Ocular Health Care at Family Eye Care Clinic while growing not just relationships, but friendships with his patients.

He completed his Undergraduate Bachelor of Science degree from Stephen F. Austin State University where he was a member of the Alpha Chi academic honor fraternity. He then earned his Doctor of Optometry from the University of Houston College of Optometry where he was elected to membership in the Beta Sigma Kappa honor fraternity. Dr. Foster's formal education was completed by two internships in both corneal and retinal departments of the University of Texas Medical Center at Houston.

Dr. Foster is a member of regional, state, and national professional associations including the East Texas Optometric Society, the Texas Optometric Association, and the American Optometric Association.

Dr. Foster stays active in the community with many activities and social functions. He also serves as a member of the Deacon Counsel at Atlanta First Baptist Church, active membership in the Atlanta Area Rotary Club Board of Directors and has served as past Rotarian President.

Dr. Foster is also an active member of the Atlanta Chamber of Commerce and has former board service as well.

Dr. Foster has established his home in Atlanta, TX with his wife Melba and daughters Lauren and Natalie. He enjoys numerous family activities such as boating, fishing, snow skiing and martial arts.

Dr. Adam R. Cox

Dr. Adam R. Cox

Dr. Adam Cox joined Family Eye Care Clinic in 2012. He provides comprehensive eye care in the clinical setting, as well as extending his services to meet the unique vision needs of many nursing home residents at numerous facilities. Dr. Cox also performs laser eye surgery for glaucoma and secondary cataracts at Willis Knighton Eye Institute.

He received his Undergraduate Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Baylor University. He then earned his Doctor of Optometry from the University of Houston College of Optometry. Dr. Cox worked at two externship sites including a private practice rotation in Greenville, TX and a public health practice in Houston, TX. Both sites provided Dr. Cox with extensive experience in ocular disease management including glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, and dry eye disease. He finished his studies at the College of Optometry with specialty rotations in both Pediatric and Low Vision clinics.Upon graduation, Dr. Cox received the most outstanding clinician in primary care award for his clinical performance while at the University of Houston.

Dr. Cox is a member of numerous local and national professional associations including the East Texas Optometric Society, the Texas Optometric Association, the American Optometric Association, the Ocular Surface Society of Optometry, the Sports Vision section of the American Optometric Association, and is an InfantSEE provider.

Dr. Cox continues to enjoy living in Atlanta and staying involved in both the community and his church. He currently serves as a board member on the Christus St. Michael- Atlanta Hospital Foundation the Atlanta Chamber of Commerce. He wants to not only provide vision care to the community but ensure its growth and prosperity in all areas. Dr. Cox enjoys the outdoors during his free time and any time he gets to spend with his wife Jennifer and their son Luke.
